PROCEDURES
Rhinoplasty (Nose job)

Rhinoplasty is a surgery aimed at solving problems of aesthetic character of the nose such as the nasal dorsal (ridge) hump, nasal septum deviation, prominence of the wings of the nose, bulbous tip, among others.

This procedure can only be performed to resolve aesthetic aspects of the nose or as a complement to functional surgeries such as septoplasty and turbinoplasty (sinus surgery).

The technique (open, closed, or delivery) used to perform depends on each specific case and the preference of the surgeon in conjunction with your patient.

The rhinoplasty takes about 2-3 hours depending on the technique used and is performed under general anesthesia in most cases.

Any surgical intervention presents a controlled risk of complications inherent in the anesthetic act and the procedure as such. However, all the relevant measures are taken to prevent them from occurring. Among the possible complications are a hematoma, hypersensitivity, edema, infection, thrombus formation, and healing problems.

PROCEDURES
Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Cosmetic surgery on the eyelids or blepharoplasty is a procedure with different purposes, among which we highlight the following:

– Removal of excess skin on upper eyelids, which can cause difficulty in vision in severe cases.

– Removal of fat bags in upper and lower eyelids that can cause swelling and permanent tiredness.

– Correction of wrinkles and excess skin in lower eyelids.

These alterations are a consequence of the normal process of aging or by inheritance in younger people.

Blepharoplasty removes excess skin, eliminates fat pockets and restores the natural appearance around the eyes, giving the face a fresher and more rested appearance.

This procedure lasts between 1 and 2 hours approximately and can be performed with local anesthesia and controlled sedation or with general anesthesia, and the choice of one or the other will depend on each specific case. Remember that blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure and must be performed in an appropriate environment.

The post-surgical recovery takes about 7-15 days, during which time the patient must follow the medical guidelines, periodically wander, avoid excessive physical effort and sun exposure among others.

PROCEDURES
Face lift (Rhytidoplasty)

The terms Rhytidectomy or Ritidoplasty are used to describe the surgical procedure that seeks to eliminate wrinkles and facial flabbiness caused by aging.

The rhytidoplasty is indicated for those patients who wish to improve the appearance of their face by eliminating the most visible wrinkles, repositioning deep and superficial facial structures and removing the excess skin. This surgery also enhances the appearance of the neck by removing the flaccidity and leaving a better contour of the mandibular line.

In specific cases such as facial paralysis, the rhytidoplasty is used to symmetrize the face.

Facial rhytidectomy can be performed with local or general anesthesia depending on each case and takes around 4 hours.

Ritidoplasty is usually associated with other facial procedures such as front plastic surgery and blepharoplasty as well as the use of facial fillers.

Any surgical intervention presents a controlled risk of complications inherent in the anesthetic act and the procedure itself. However, all the relevant measures are taken to prevent them from occurring. Among the possible complications, we find the following: seroma (accumulation of fluid under the skin), hematoma, hypersensitivity, edema, infection, thrombus formation, and scarring problems.

PROCEDURES
Otoplasty (Ear surgery)

Otoplasty is a surgery that seeks to improve the appearance and to correct some deformities of the ear such as total absence (microtia) or lack of antihelix or helix (detached ear).

The most common otoplasty is one that seeks to correct the detached ear and the technique to be used will depend on each case as well as the preference of the surgeon.

Although otoplasty does not correct hearing problems, it does improve the aesthetic appearance of the ears and with this the self-esteem of patients who are often victims of bullying.

Patients who undergo otoplasty should use bandages during approximately 15 – 30 days to help the healing process.

This procedure lasts approximately 2 hours and can be performed with local or general anesthesia.
